Annelyse turns 2!

Two years ago, I had my 3rd little girl. 

And today, our fun loving, firecracker turned 2!

Lyse was ALL about her birthday today! She was acting as if she knew exactly what today was about. 

She had a few bumps along the way today, expressing her stubborn self ,but most of the day she was being extremely cute and we couldn't get enough of her.

Her cousin, Ireland even came over for a few minutes to say happy birthday.

Birthdays this year are extremely low key, which is perfectly fine with me and hopefully they are still enjoyable for the birthday kids, but sometimes low key is just the way to go.

With that said, a dinner out with the family was just perfect for today!

We were able to spend some time with both sets of grandparents which made dinner and the rest of the evening really enjoyable.

Lyse requested to sit on GRANDPA'S lap tonight. She was so content to sit with him for quite some time.

Their conversations were so cute but I couldn't get a good picture of it.

On our way home we had to stop for gas so daddy became quite the entertainment. He was playing a form of peekaboo and making the kids belly laugh. You have to love the daddy's that can keep kids entertained no matter what task they are doing.

This picture is especially for Lyse's GREAT GRAM! 

The card she sent to Lyse had this Minnie Mouse ribbon for her to wear on her special day and Lyse was kind enough to humor me for a picture with it on and cheese it up for her Precious Great Gram!

I think it turned out pretty special!

ENOUGH of the pictures, it was PRESENT TIME and Lyse kindly went to Daddy and Grandpa and said, "Come on Daddy! Time for presents!"

She had a little help from her big brother and sister but after a minute or so she was ready to do it by herself!

She loved every minute of it and received more than enough gifts.

These babies just might be going everywhere with us for a while. 

Over the last month or so, Lyse has been all about babies.

Rocking them, changing them, wrapping them, walking them, putting them to sleep and shushing them.

All just in time for her to be a big sister!

Presents were finally over and the cake was ready to be cut. I can not believe that I did not get a picture of her cake but it was cute and  yummy and Lyse did a great job at blowing out her candles.

We ended the day with Madagascar 3, some snuggle time with Grandma 'Nette and a happy birthday phone call from her buddy 'Nea. (aka - Lenea but I think it's cute this is what Lyse calls her)

And finally, mommy and Lyse had a little snuggle time of our own.

I can't believe that just two very short years ago this little baby was inside of me ready to change our family for a lifetime.

She brings sparks to our family, that's for sure. Sparks of laughter, joy and energy and most days those sparks do a pretty good job of keeping us on our toes. I guess the Lord realized we had a pretty non stressful life before her and needed to up our energy a bit. 

We are so blessed and so thankful to have her!
