A Bit of Snow

Sunday, churches were cancelled and the news was telling people to stay inside and to not go on the roads unless there was an emergency.
This 'snow day' meant the kids and I stayed inside and Rog was out most of the day shoveling and helping others with their driveways.

After doing our drive twice and about 6 others, he came in looking like this.

Bundled, wet and tired.

You have to love the winter and all of the wonderful snow it gives us!
It's just not Christmas break without a little cold and snow!

This snow and brutally cold weather gave Rog two snow days from school and the kids, one day off.

The Monday after this was so cold we threw boiling water out into the air and it immediately turned into snow.

Their is something lovely with every season!

More time with a popular guy!

Christmas Break could not have come soon enough for us. Our agenda for this break was FULL and SO MUCH FUN!!!!!
It started out with Liv's birthday and ended today with a few hours of unpacking and taking down Christmas decorations.

Saying good night to my husband tonight showed me that this break was just not long enough but I am so grateful for all the time we were able to have together as a family.

So many more moments that I will share soon enough but just wanted my husband to know he will be missed at breakfast, lunch and all of the in between moments.

WE LOVE YOU ROG!

When Daddy takes them for a walk

Going for a walk includes a bit more than just walking, riding bikes and enjoying the scenery.
It also includes Luke gathering,

Liv sorting,

and heading to just the right spot,

so their arms can get a bit of a work out.

Daddy gets involved in this one too.
He actually retrieves the 'whatchamacallits' that didn't make it into the river so they can try again.
Those are the ones that Liv usually throws in because she hasn't quite mastered a strong arm yet.

Rog started this with the kids and they absolutely love taking walks with daddy!

I think it's a requirement every time they go on a walk together!
When mommy takes them, it is occasionally acorns they gather for the river not those huge tennis ball looking things.

Daddy's.
Always just a bit more fun.

FALL!

A few weeks ago, we enjoyed a nice, cloudy, fall day outside doing yard work and having some fun!
It was actually our first chilly day after a long summer of many HOT ones.

Of course I couldn't resist snapping some shots of my little ones in their pants and sweatshirts.
They looked so cute and cuddlly!

The kids enjoyed watching daddy work out in the yard for a bit.

But soon the work was over and it was time for Daddy to enjoy in some fun.

All 3 kids enjoyed themselves on this day!
I just love watching Luke and Liv have fun with their Daddy!

Cloudy, cold, misty days can't get much better when this much fun is going on!

MISSING DADDY ALREADY

Having Daddy back to work for just three days after a full ten weeks of him with us can apparantly have a BIG effect on a child.

They tend to become a bit attached as soon as he gets home from work.

Literally.

Even if he is trying to pick weeds in the yard.

Nothing is going to stop them from showing their daddy just how much they have missed him.

Liv didn't seem to mind AT ALL that her daddy was trying to be productive after a day away at work.

Don't be fooled.

It may have looked as if this daddy was wondering when or if his little ones would soon get off of his back but what daddy doesn't like all of this attention after a long day at work?

Even if he's only been away for three days.

Summer fun with DADDY! Part 4

What's a great dinner together without adding ice cream for dessert?

Can summer get any better than this???

A little messy in the end but it's all so worth it!

Summer fun with DADDY! Part 3

Another thing that is enjoyed as a family and is done quite often is having dinner together as a family!

It's something that takes quite the effort during the school year and is becoming true for this summer as Daddy has many softball games during the week but we usually make it work because it is so important!

This day, I was just sitting here after our meal and just enjoying that we were all together and talking as a family.

Don't mind the messy table and dinner plates.

It was all so Yummy!!! *smirk*
