THIS 5 YEAR OLD
READ HIS VERY FIRST BOOK ALL BY HIMSELF!
The title was Mat.
We are just thrilled over this accomplishment.
It was one of those things where I have said he's probably ready but just never took the time to see.
Friday, I took about 10 minutes and went over vowels and their sounds and handed him a 'learning to read' book and he took off with it.
I probably should have done this a while ago but things are just crazy around here most days.
Tonight, January 15th, Rog had the kids while I was out and had Luke read his second book titled,
Sam.
Rog had taped this reading and made a note about this being Luke's first book.
Luke quickly looked up and said, "NO! Mat was my first book."
He is also extremely thrilled to have started on this new journey.
Way to go Luke! Mommy and Daddy are SO EXCITED to watch you read!
