Christmas EVE

Back to our Christmas events.

I LOVE Christmas Eve with my family.
This year had a bit of a different time schedule since Christmas was on a Sunday this year.
Even still. We had a great night and enjoyed every minute.

Baby Ireland's first Christmas with us. She didn't realize her nap was going to get cut short after we all arrived. Silly baby! There is no nap time at Grandma's on Christmas Eve. *wink*

All the kids had fun playing together before and after the presents.

I could not wait for Makenzie to open her present.
The reaction on her face was just what I was hoping for.

An elephant pillow pet that she has been wanting for QUITE some time now.
Don't worry, her Aunt Aimee came through and found the ONLY one around in the area.
THANKS TARGET for making me Aunt of the Year. *wink wink*

This year I let Lynette open her gift a day early since we got my mom the same thing.
I was really torn on what to do but didn't want Lynette to know her gift before opening it.
It worked out great, only see that green box on the coffee table on the picture below?
I was sitting in front of the couch by my mother and turned around and thought my mom had just saw what her gift was. See how the big box has the same color green on it as the gift on the table? Yep. I thought my whole effort of them to open their gifts at the same time was lost. I was wrong and my blood pressure went back down to normal after I walked around and realized Lynette still did not open her gift yet.
ANYWHO!

I just hope they both found a nice spot to store this. We are just the gift givers not the storage keepers.

Probably the highlight of the night for Uncle Devan was when Annelyse hopped up in his lap and didn't cry.
THIS NEVER HAPPENS!

I hate to say it but Ireland got that baby doll as a present and Annelyse LOVES baby dolls and climbed up in Devan's lap so she could get her hands on that baby.
It's alright.
We snapped a pic anyways to document this special NON CRYING moment.
She really does LOVE her Uncle Devan.
REALLY.

All in all it was a great night and another year of memories!

We do sort of the same thing, but on Christmas day! A is so cute and reminds me SO much of Lo. It is funny how I see each of the kids in other ones! I will always love that about "the cousins". :)
