A few days before Christmas, my mom wanted all of her grand kids together so they could make and decorate gingerbread men. Last year she bought a gingerbread house and had the older grand kids over but this year she wanted all of them from Ireland to Mackenzie. (6 months to 12 years) It was fun, crazy and yummy all at the same time. My mom figured it wouldn't be perfect but it would still be fun and memories would be made so it was all worth it.
She sat them all down at her dining room table and gave them each their own little men and let them create.
Annelyse created all right. She let us put her men together and she did her job of demolishing them in her mouth.(Yes, I let her eat it, icing and all. She was at Grandma's. Rules are different there)
The kids did really great and had a blast decorating.
Masterpieces as you can see. *smirk
I LOVE that my mom wants to do this every year with each year being a different type of gingerbread.
As a reminder of our gingerbread men memory, my mom bought all of the kids their own gingerbread man ornament. It was such a great idea and I will love watching my kids hang their ornaments every year.
THANKS FOR THE MEMORY MOM!!!! I know it was for the kids but I LOVED IT!
