Day 3 of our trip was NEW YEAR'S EVE!
We had a blast!
We went out to dinner, then down town to an event called First night. There was so much to do. The kids got their faces painted, made crafts and jumped in bouncy houses.
We were on our way to ice skate but when we arrived the line to get skates wrapped all the way around the building on the outside so we called it quits and went for dessert instead.
We made it home in time to put on our decorations and count down to midnight!
Annelyse was so excited to ring in the new year
that was, until we put a pink lei on her.
Nothing says HAPPY NEW YEAR like putting together a 750 piece puzzle.
When we arrived, this puzzle was sitting on the table begging for someone to put it together. It was in their basement crying out for 3 years and finally we got to it.
We stayed up most the night and only left about 20 or so pieces to finish the whole thing. Alan finally completed the puzzle the next morning!!
YAY!!!
Gram came over the next day and brought her favorite little friend, Frosty, the singing, melting snowman.
He was a pretty big hit!
Our last night together was spent playing games and having fun.
I am so glad I captured this. The last two visits, Liv has taken a while to warm up to her Great Gram. Out of no where, she walked up, gave her a smirk and gave her a great big hug.
Ticket to Ride was the game of choice this night.
We even got Barrett interested in the game. So much so, that up until the last three plays, him and Rog thought they were competing for the win. That was until I stepped in and somehow won. *smirk
Sorry guys.
Lyse was all about Liv this night. She could not stop hugging and kissing her big sis.
Oh, and mommy too. She is such a loving little girl.
Whatever allows her to give a hug or a kiss she will do it. Sometimes she even hits you first so she can say sorry and give hugs and kisses. Crazy girl.
Game number two. This time I didn't play. *wink
And we say Goodbye to Gram.
(This is a real sincere hug. I must have gotten Rog while he was blinking cause he looks like he is joking)
It was really a sincere moment.
Day 4 came to an end and we packed up for our trip home the next day.
Not our favorite part of the trip but, it must be done.
Back to life.
