So different

 Every now and then I completely forget what I am about to sign up for and ask the kids if they would like to  partake in a project.
Yes it keeps them busy and most of the time, I take for granted the calm moment and walk away and think that the day couldn't be better and then walk back in and find nice surprises.
Hey, they are just kids being creative, right? 
However, on this particular day I asked if they wanted to paint and this time NOT with water colors.
Everything was great, they were exploring, having fun, being quiet(which is sometimes a big deal) and I was able to get some things accomplished. 
And then I walked back in to find paint mixed with other paint, all over the table, paint brushes with multiple colors being sloshed in the actual bottles.... OH yeah, good times and at that moment, Mommy had another great idea. It was time to play outside! *wink


Whoops, I got a bit ahead of myself. 
This post was to show how Luke and Liv are so opposite when it comes to exploring and getting messy.  

Basically, Liv gets messy,

while Luke stays nice

and clean!

However, he was the culprit that was taking the brushes and mixing the colors in the bottles.

I cringed at that moment, was tempted to just pitch the paint but got a hold of my head and just cleaned the kitchen as well as I could.

Paint was EVERYWHERE!

But hey, they are just being kids and most days that's all that matters.

And YES, I saved their paintings.
