Summer fun with DADDY! Part 2

Last week was not only my birthday, but Father's Day and our Anniversary.

Needless to say it was quite a full weekend!

Last year  my birthday came very soon after a little one's passing and Rog thought it would be a great day for me to relax at a spa!
 (I totally agreed!)

As AWESOME as last year was, I was so excited this birthday to spend it with my family.
I didn't care what I did as long as we were together.
With that thought in my mind, I wanted nothing else than to have my kids enjoy the day.

We headed out to Frankfort's Children Museum.
Such a cute, little museum for the kids to keep entertained for a few hours.

The very first thing they spotted as we walked in was this stand that you could be as creative as you wanted .
I am not really sure how else to describe it other than for the pictures to do the talking.

That there is Luke's face.

The next two pictures are of Rog getting involved in the creativity.
After pulling them away from this fun,
here is Luke and Daddy checking out magnets.

Liv found a nice quiet spot to sit and have a few moments by herself and explore her favorite thing.

MUSIC!

We then headed upstairs to a dancing/freeze room.
Luke loved it anyways.

Here was a card making station. The kids quickly sat when I asked them if they wanted to make a card for Daddy for Father's Day. It was so cute. Everything was there for them and the final card ended up being a shirt and tie with buttons with a saying on the inside.

The card didn't seem to be enough for Miss Liv because she then found some paper and paints and started her masterpiece.

I am guessing she had some help from Daddy with this one.

While Liv was painting, Luke ran over to investigate wildlife and rocks.

I am sure the kids would have been fine to be done for the day after the Museum but this was MY birthday and we weren't done having fun until the sun went down.

Where to next?

The park of course!

We stopped at home first to grab the kids bikes and then headed over to my parents house so we could walk to the park by their house.

We weren't there for too long.
After the park, I wanted to take a nice family walk around my parents neighborhood like I would do as a child.
We pushed Liv in a stroller while Luke rode his big wheel.
So simple but just PERFECT to me.

After tiring them out, it was time to head home for bath's and bed because the next day was another full day spending time with DADDY!
