MY B-AA-BYYY!

So this has taken me a few weeks to post. Not really because it was hard for me to put on the blog but because my time just isn't really always in front of our computer. I wanted to post this the very minute everything came about but I felt that much would be said if I were to act on the moment and since then I just haven't been able to really sit and write. By now most of you have heard this story but for my own sake I felt I needed it here with all of our other precious memories.

Well, now I have some time so here is my story:

This little occasion was about 3 weeks ago now on a Sunday afternoon during lunch.

Rog and I had gone out to eat with my parents to Mongolian Barbeque. (I must say that if you haven't eaten here then it is a must just for the whole experience. A really neat place)

So.

It was time to get our food and the lovely father that I have thought it would be best for my mother and I to go get our food and he and my husband would wait and take care of our kids.

Great! No big deal.

So we are all at the table, enjoying our food when my father starts looking around for something.

My mother notices his behavior and asks what he is doing.

My father says that he is looking for a coaster.

Well silly Dad, there are like 5 on the table.

He responds that he is looking for a specific one that Liv was playing with. He said that she was CHEWING on it and he noticed that there was a PIECE missing.

WEll.
The patient, non-hyper, loving daughter, because I know my father doesn't ever know what to do with little ones, that I am quickly shrugged it off and acted like it was no big deal because I didn't want him to feel bad or have my mom worry about this little incident.

He said that he wasn't going to tell us but then he thought about it and figured that it would be a good idea if he were to just let us know that this coaster she was CHEWING on had a missing piece and the piece was no where to be found.

Once again. I acted as if it were no big deal and even commented in a joking manner that a little fiber would do her some good.

I forgot about the whole thing the rest of the day.

Liv was great. She was a wonderful baby in the restaurant. She slept great and was such a happy baby that night at church.

We get home that evening, get everyone ready for bed and Liv does her nightly duty before she goes to sleep. NO BIG DEAL!

WELL, Soon after that she did it again which is very rare.

I rushed back up stairs to change her once again and OH! WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I FIND?
YEP! There it was! Not at all chewed just meshed together and SWALLOWED!

Now mind you I did take pictures of this in the diaper but didn't think that was very appropriate so I calmed down and let this little piece of coaster dry and took a picture of it out of its element.

I was just beside myself and couldn't believe that when I told my wonderful husband about it he just shrugged it off and said "well, you let your dad watch her"

I quickly reminded him that He is the father of 2 children and just because My dad was holding one didn't mean that Roger no longer was responsible for HIS 2 children!

All I thought was how she had no problem getting this piece down her throat. She could have choked, got it stuck somewhere? I couldn't fathom the thought that she swallowed it whole without any problem. These are the times where you find yourself shuffling through all of the "what if's"

I put this lovely piece of coaster in a baggy and rushed it to my parents house that next day. I showed my father when he walked in the door and he said, "OH! there it is! I was wondering where it went"

AGGGHHH! Yeah! It was in my babies mouth, throat, stomach and 9 hours later, her DIAPER!!!

Was anyone else as shocked and concerned as I was!

NOT REALLY!

OH the horror!

ok, that is my story.
