Tickets Please!

One of our final family fun events of the summer was the best idea Rog could have had.
We had an evening at our Shorewood Crossroads Carnival!
Now, if it were up to me I would have said, "Sure we can go check it out and walk around but we will NOT spend money on dirty, filthy rides and food that is way more than it's worth."
However, Rog, being the fun dad that he is, decided to go all out and splurge one last time before our summer was over.

Bless that man!
Sometimes, you have to spend a little to really enjoy an evening.
It wasn't a crazy amount but just more than what I would have given for a few rides.
Good thing Daddy's are around cause sometimes their ideas are a bit more fun than Mommy's.

With that said, we told the kids that they could each pick three rides to go on.

Luke couldn't wait!

Next ride were the cars and I think those might just have been his favorite!

Liv on the other hand wasn't really into the rides as much and was very quick to let Luke take her three rides.

She wasn't having any of it!
That didn't stop Luke any, he gladly accepted her tickets and kept on going.

Last ride was back to the cars!
A different one of course.

Luke had such a blast on everything he went on.
It was such a joy to see him having so much fun and taking it all in!
The joys and blessings of being a parent.

Liv, on the other hand. Well, this was her extent of having a good time.

Maybe next year.

When the tickets were gone we walked through the rest of the park and bought the kids some food.
It was a quick stop before we had to rush to the van before we became food for the mosquitos.
WOW were they bad!
We had to enjoy our food in the van and call it a night.

I was a bit upset because I wanted a picture of the rides all lit up but the bugs were so bad I figured it could wait.

Thanks Rog for such a great family fun night!
I know we all had so much fun on our last summer event together as a family of 4.

This truly was a GREAT and WONDERFUL summer!
