OUR VERY QUICK GETAWAY!

So finally I am getting to our quick getaway that was a few weeks ago now.

I must say that I wish it wouldn't have been such a quick getaway but rather a nice, long vacation!

Even though we weren't here long, I made sure our weekend away was full of picture taking!

We start this shoot off with Livy excited to be here and sporting her fishing hat.

Luke is just having some fun doing... Yeah, not sure.

Here we are! Out in the boat, on the river, in NOVEMBER!

What were we thinking? I am not so sure!

We were so bundled it was hard to do much of anything out there!

Poor Livy couldn't even fasten her life jacket because she was packed with clothes.

I like my fashion statement! I might just wear this hat all the time from now on!

I am sure if I were still a child at home I would be punished for putting this next pic up because I was told many times to delete this one but, I just couldn't!

I thought it was a lovely, real, spur of the moment pic and I actually LOVE it!

So sorry Mom, but I don't live at home anymore and I have to decide for myself these days.

OK. I think this pic is my all time favorite pic of the weekend eventhough there are many other great ones that rank right up there!

What can I say?

 My husband is a HOTTIE! *grin *

Ok. back to the real reason we went out on the boat on such a freezing day.

For Luke to fish with his Grandpa of course!

Oh I absolutely LOVE this man!

What really makes me mad is that this next pic is actually really good but I have this lovely hat on that makes me unable to display it as I like.

oh well. It's still a keeper.

So much fun that when it came time for dinner the children were out cold!

They rested up enough so that they were ready for some chocolate cake back at the cabin.

Before we left we were in awe and just had to watch my dad knock down a pine tree that was leaning.
