When Trials Come

When trials come, no longer fear
For in the pain our God draws near
To fire a faith worth more than gold
And there His faithfulness is told
And there His faithfulness is told

Within the night I know Your peace
The breath of God brings strength to me
And new each morning mercy flows
As treasures of the darkness grow
As treasures of the darkness grow

I turn to wisdom not my own
For every battle you have known
My confidence will rest in You
Your love endures; Your ways are good
Your love endures; Your ways are good

When I am weary with the cost
I see the triumph of the cross
So in its shadows I shall run
Till you complete the work begun
Till you complete the work begun

One day all things will be made new
I'll see the hope you called me to
And in your kingdom, paved with gold
I'll praise your faithfulness of old
I'll praise your faithfulness of old

*words and music by Keith and Kristyn Getty

I am just so thankful for songs that are so true!
This song has probably been the one song that I have used to get me through the last three months.
I didn't pick this song on purpose. Thanks to Elaine, She bought me the Keith and Kristyn Getty cd, Awaken the Dawn, after I had Lilliana and as I was going through the cd to pick out my favorites, this one stuck in my head right away and I found myself hitting the back button to listen over and over. I can't seem to ever get enough of it! When I am having a 'low' day I find myself turning on this song and it helps me look at my day differently. There are many other great songs on this cd but When Trials Come strikes me in such a different way.

I find that I use music to help me through tough times. I clung to music when I miscarried the first two times. That time however it was music from Selah.
I am so thankful for these two groups and the ministry that they have. They have been extremely helpful to me and will probably never know the impact they had. Praise God for their servants heart!

Isn't it amazing how songs can just EXACTLY speak to how we are feeling?

I have that CD too, and love it. There are lots of things music can say that, for some reason, people's regular words just can't!
