We had plans to go to my parents house, like we do every year, but this year was a bit different.
We did go to my parents house but before that, we were invited to my Doctors house for the day.
Crazy right?
Well, ever since we lost Lilliana we have started talking to my Dr. and have been wanting to get together. I had an appointment on July 3rd and she asked us to stop by her house on the 4th.
OK!
It was a little awkward at first but, after a while, we just made ourselves feel at home and enjoyed ourselves.
The bad part was that it rained all day and it was hard to be outside and if we were inside it was super packed.
So. we decided to take the kids out in the rain for a bit.
We had a really nice time there and got to see a different side of my doctor. We are just so thankful to be going through this and seeing little pieces of what God has for us.
After all of our morning fun we headed back to my parents house to enjoy more family and friends. We decided to skip the fireworks due to a dark and rainy day and because after a full day of rain we wanted our kids to be mosquito bite free.

I just happen to ADORE my doctor, though I've never been to his house. He's fantastic and so, I understand how you feel about your Dr!

Healing your heart won't happen if you isolate yourself, so I'm glad to see you getting out and trying to resume your "new normal" life.
