We even had to hide their baskets so they wouldn't see them before church. It was seriously that bad on Easter morning. We were late to church because of a little boys desire to be angry and grumpy. *sigh*
Well, to say that before lunch he was any better was just a joke. Actually, he switched his mood from anger to devious/sneaky.
We had to go back home before a wonderful meal at my parents house so that I could make a thing or two. It was then we decided to show our children their baskets and give them some happiness before an even longer afternoon.
So. I had put some jelly beans in some eggs for the kids and we allowed Luke to eat some of them.
After a few, I told him he could have more after he ate a good lunch but apparantly that wasn't good for him. Besides the jelly beans, Luke spotted some yummy milk chocolate cadburry's. (the little eggs) He was told he couldn't have those either and once again, that wasn't good enough.
I would say about 10 or 15 minutes went by when I heard him in his room.
Minutes after, he came down the stairs and my friend Ang said, "Oh Aimee. Um Luke has chocolate all over his mouth." Of course, this wasn't her dilemma so a smirk and a chuckle came right after.
I hate to say it, but a smirk, chuckle and a quick "Rog" came right after from me as well. It was one of those things where he needed to probably be disciplined but you just couldn't help cherishing one of these devious, precious, adorable moments where they had absolutely no idea they were caught.
I hate to say it but a pic of Luke was missed but Rog found the evidence in his bed where he acted out this crime.
We still have no idea how many eggs he ate but we figure it was more than one. It doesn't look that bad but his face showed that he really enjoyed every inch of those eggs. Oh and he is only 2!
